Phoenix lawyer. Cecilia Teyechea Denogean de Esquer was born in Superior, Arizona, in 1942. During her school years her family moved to Phoenix; thus she graduated from Phoenix Union High School, having earned a scholarship to Arizona State University. She obtained her B.A. in business in 1964, her M.A. in Spanish in 1965, and her law degree in 1976. She has taught Spanish at the high school and college level, and business classes at ASU.
